Avial Recipe

| Ingredients: |
| Elephant yam(Chena),Plantain(Pachakkaya),Carrot, Long beans(Achinga),Drumsticks(Muringakkaya),Raw mango(Pachamanga-optional) | (cut into pieces) |
| Green chillies(cut into long pieces) | 7-8nos |
| Grated coconut | 1-1/2cup |
| Small onions(Kunjulli) | 3 nos |
| Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) | 1/2 tsp |
| Turmeric powder | 1/2 tsp |
| Chilly powder | 1/2 tsp |
| Sour curd | 1/2cup |
| Tamarind(Puli) juice | a small boul |
| Curry leaves | 2sprigs |
| Coconut oil | 2 tsp |
| Salt | As reqd |

| Preparation Method: |
- Cook the vegetables along with green chillies, turmeric powder, chilly powder, tamarind juice and salt in a pressure cooker(Do not over cook).
- Drain the left over water from the vegetables.
- Grind together coconut, cumin seeds, 2 green chillies, curd and small onions along with a little water.
- Add the ground paste to the cooked vegetables.
- Cook for a few more mins if you don`t like the raw taste of coconut.
- Add curry leaves and coconut oil to it and mix well.
